Detour

One night in Mumbai, known as the city of dreams, a frustrated advertising copywriter (Nimisha) meets a zen investment banker (Aarav) in a shared cab. After an initial glitch, they warm up to each other, discussing music and what makes them happy in life. Finding comfort and camaraderie in each other, they decide to take a detour and sit by the sea that often provides solace for the inhabitants of Mumbai - a crowded, chaotic, demanding city. Maybe the salty breeze from the Arabian sea washes away the worries of the day, or the tender connection with a stranger in the middle of the night does it, but, slowly, Nimisha's tough day at work melts into a soft, poignant night. Two strangers who meet by the twist of an algorithm share a few moments of genuine connection before they part ways, perhaps never to meet again.
