Imam Shabbah's mosque and congregation come under attack and internal divisiveness. Rogue FBI Agent Ernie Saxon, who lost his Father during the war in Iraq, and his sister on September 11th, now has it in for Muslims, i.e., he hates them. The Muslim community comes under harsh scrutiny and pressure in general, fighting to salvage a peaceful perception while dealing with external prejudices and dangers that aim to vilify this enclave with impunity.
